ABOUT THE EVENT
“RUN TO REMEMBER”
The second Fargo Moorhead Student Veterans 9/11 Memorial 5K is a mission-driven event honoring the sacrifices of service members and first responders. Held at Minnesota State University Moorhead, this second annual race raises critical funds for student-veteran and emergency-responder initiatives, scholarships, and emergency support.
Proceeds will directly fund student-veteran programming, spouse and dependent scholarships, and a tactical fund to assist veterans, firefighters, law enforcement professionals, and emergency responders in times of need.
Be part of history on Friday, September 11, 2026 @ 6:00 PM, as we launch this annual tradition—running in remembrance, standing in solidarity, and giving back to those who serve.
Registration Details
The Fargo Moorhead Student Veterans Foundation proudly uses RunSignUp to manage all aspects of runner registration and payment processing for the 9/11 Memorial 5K. During registration, participants can select their preferred running corral and even opt to run as part of a team within the same corral.
The race will feature one evening memorial run at Moorhead State University. Every runner will be chip timed to ensure accurate results, and all participants will receive a commemorative event t-shirt and participation medal.
Top finishers will be recognized with awards across multiple age group categories, making this a memorable and inclusive event for runners of all levels. The minimum age for participation is 12, and runners aged 75 and older may join with prior approval from the race committee.
Email info@fmstudentvets911memorial5k.org if you or your organization have questions about minimum and maximum runner ages.
