Win $200 for Your Chapter or Club!

Is your fraternity or sorority ready to show your campus pride? As part of the Fargo-Moorhead Student Veterans 9/11 Memorial 5K, we’re hosting a special competition just for Greek Life.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Form or join your fraternity/sorority or club team during registration (See directions below for help).
  2. Recruit as many members as you can to register under your chapter.
  3. The Race will give out three cash prizes.
  • One $200 cash prize for the NDSU fraternity or sorority with the largest number of participants,
  • One $200 cash prize for the on-campus club with the largest number or registered participants,
  • One $200 cash prize for the MSUM/Dragon student club with the largest number or registered participants, and
  • One $200 cash prize for a high school club or team with the largest number or registered participants.

The fraternity/sorority and clubs (one NDSU club and one MSUM club) with the most registered participants wins a $200 cash prize and bragging rights as the most spirited team on campus!

This is your chance to honor the memory of 9/11, support scholarships for veterans and families, and show which chapter leads the way in service and community.

How to Register

Group Registration Rules – 9/11 Memorial 5K

1) One Group per Organization ▾
  • Each club, fraternity, sorority, athletic team, or student organization may register one official group under its name.
  • Multiple groups from the same organization are not permitted (this dilutes membership and competitive integrity).
2) Group Captain Requirement (First-Time Groups) ▾
  • First-time group registrations must designate a Team/Run Captain.
  • The captain coordinates sign-ups, communicates deadlines and race updates, and serves as the primary point of contact with organizers.
3) Tiered Group Discounts ▾

Discounts apply automatically as your group grows:

Group Size (running total) Discount per Registration
1–3 registrants No discount (standard fee)
4–10 registrants $5 off each registration
11–20 registrants $10 off each registration
21+ registrants $12 off each registration

Note: Discounts are calculated based on the group’s total number of paid registrants and are applied at checkout once thresholds are met.

4) How to Register as a Group ▾
  1. Select your organization’s official group name during registration.
  2. Ensure everyone uses the same group name to qualify for tiered discounts and prize eligibility.
  3. First-time groups: have your Team/Run Captain coordinate sign-ups and communications.
5) Compliance & Eligibility ▾
  • Creating multiple groups under the same organization may result in disqualification from prizes and/or discounts.
  • Organizers reserve the right to audit group registrations for compliance.
